I-Group Skills Assessment
Row 1
I-Group Participant Skills Assessment
Row 2
Background
Given my 15+ years of experience of leading Primary Integration Trainings (PIT) in both BC and Washington state, it was a natural progression for me to become a visiting guest magician for I-Groups. This has worked very well, but it did involve several hours of driving and a late night border crossing. When Covid-19 raised its ugly head, Zoom became the go-to tool for people all over the world. Many MKP I-Groups now meet regularly using Zoom.
During the past year, I have undergone an intensive process of refreshing and enhancing my coaching skill set, and discovered that these skills are an excellent fit with my guest-magician experiences. I get to integrate my deep experience with PITs and I-Groups with some very advanced coaching skills that have helped me deliver considerable value to these I-Groups.
Out of this experience, I have realized that I am in a unique position to take this work even deeper by coaching individualI-Group members. The BC Board has agreed to conduct an experiment to determine objectively whether coaching can yield a quantifiable improvement in the overall I-Group experience. The assessment on this page is an experiment to find an answer to this question.
The Program
The BC Board has agreed to conduct this experiment by supporting my outreach to BC I-Groups and inviting those groups to identify men within their I-Groups who may benefit substantially from the coaching experience. Two men from the BC community will be offered the opportunity to sign up for a 10 week structured coaching process.
The members of the I-Groups will each take this assessment and rate the skill set of the man selected for coaching The selected man will also take this assessment. The selected men will then be responsible for raising $800 CAD to pay for this experience. Upon completion of the coaching experience, the I-Group members and the coached man will take the assessment again to quantify any changes in the man's skill set.
Upon completion, the man may ask the BC board for a reimbursement of 25% ($200)
When both men have completed this process, the BC board will determine whether to expand or terminate this experiment. .
If this experiment yields positive results, the BC Board may choose to roll it out across the rest of the community, and I already have plans to begin rolling it out in the Northwest area next. It is conceivably possible that this program may be so successful that other areas and regions decide to adopt it as well; but let's focus on first things first.
Instructions
This assessment serves two purposes.
- To perform a self assessment of one's I-Group skill set.
- To assess a member of an I-Group that the group wants to support by helping him deepen his I-Group skill set
When completing this form for someone other than yourself, please make sure to spell the assessed person's first and last names correctly. This makes analysis of the resulting data much easier.
As each assessment is completed, I will receive the results automatically. When all assessments for a given I-Group are completed, I will generate an analysis and will share that with both the I-Group and whomever else the BC Board decides should see it. This applies to both the before and after assessment results.
Note that the names of the assessors will not be included in the analysis: only the name of the man being assessed.
