We met with Brandon on 5/1 and reviewed the list of critical questions. Here are the answers:
- State of the house sale market right now? HOT - we are the only house in Silver Beach area on the market.
- What repairs does he strongly advise us to do (e.g. bathroom wall): BOTH + Dish Washer
- How much staging do we need to do? It's up to us, but we clearly need to do some staging
- Buying strategy: is contingent offer OK or do we need to have cash in hand? we MUST have cash on hand. Contingent offers will be trumped by cans and right now, cash is king.
- Where do we stay while house is on the market? Can we sell our house while still living in it? We will need an apartment for at least a month and possibly longer. Task: Identify appartment.
- Storage of stuff – availability of storage locations? To be determined. Needs its own task.
- RE Mt. Vernon, Burlington: is river flooding an issue? Maybe - Brandon is looking into it. Follow up needed.
- Has hs sent letters to James Street yet? YES
